Weekly Challenge #126: "Stencil Fun"

This week's Diva challenge was to tangle with a stencil. This was indeed a challenge for me as I had no stencils. So I improvised and used the side of a plastic basket as my stencil. I ended up with a grid string and decided to make it weave tangles through it.

Tangles used were: Piza, Palrevo, Z-Trik, Fang, Love Line, Coaster, Snugz, Girlande, Fancy Nancy, and Arckles.

Weekly Challenge #125: UMT v. XVIII Birdie Feet

This weeks challenge from the Diva is a UMT challenge (Use My Tangle). Awesome fun. The tangle for the challenge is Birdie Feet by Owl Loving April.  I gave it a shot and I think I like it this week.

Weekly Challenge #124: "We Are Calgary"

This week's challenge is an open challenge - The Diva only asks that we keep Calgary in our hearts this week, and any part of the Earth where people are dealing with incredible struggles and tragedy.  So here is my entry for Calgary. 

Weekly Challenge #123: "Guest Post: Is it a Zentangle?"

The challenge for this week is: can you do a Zentangle without using existing patterns or tangeleations* of them? And what are your experiences while doing so? 

Wow, this was interesting.  I spent a while thinking about what that actually means.  My interpretation of this assignment is to create a Zentangle without any known tangles.

Weekly Challenge #122: "Grid (un)Locked"

This weeks challenge from the Diva is to use a grid seed from Rick and Maria's Zentangle Newsletter or come up with your own.  I decided to come up with my own.  I actually came up with three.  It was fun.

The first one, Thor, I used two variations of in the tile.  Guess which movie I saw the pattern in.  =) The second one on the bottom I called Webbed,.  The third I haven't come up with a name for it.

Weekly Challenge #121: "UMT XVII: Birds on a Wire"

This weeks challenge by the Diva is to use the tangle pattern called "Bird on a Wire" by Mary Kissel.  I really ended up liking this pattern!  I love birdies, so I tried to make my version of Bird on a Wire with a beak!

I feel like I coped out on last weeks challenge.  I was so busy at work I didn't have time to take any breaks. This week, I set aside time to tangle. In other words, I made myself take a timed break when I was stressed. It helped.  I need to do that on a more regular basis.

Weekly Challenge #120: "Tangleation Nation; Bales"

This is me taking Bales on a drive....I may dress it up more...for now, here it is.  This is the beginning.  I will finish at a later time.  Life is just too busy sometimes, even for the fun things.
