Weekly Challenge #110: "Get rid of the box"

So the Diva's challenge this week was to go outside your comfort zone.  Since I always tangle on paper, I decided to use a different medium.  I chose a pretty flat stone I found while walking my sweet yorkie Corey at the park.  I have always been drawn to pretty stones and smooth ones are even nicer.  I also decided to only use one of my own tangles.  I usually pick only tangles I have found on tanglepatterns.com or in one of the Zentangle books.   I named this tangle Plop.  It is made up of two teardrops drawn in a diagonally divided square.

So here is my try at get rid of the box:

  3. This rock really 'rocks' :-). Tangling on rocks is harder then on paper, but the results are great.

  4. Love the concept... You might have just given me more inspiration to do some more tangling this afternoon.

  8. Last week I didn't have enough time to do "my round", so I've missed this post! I like your idea and your Plop looks very nice on the rock. Lovely pattern, I'll make it the subject of my "breakfast exercises" right now!!
